Building My House In The Country

I’ve done pretty well for myself in this life, and I am sure that I am very lucky. I have a great family with my beautiful wife and two daughters. I have a great job doing what I love and helping people, and on top of that, I make more than enough money at the same time. I find that with my busy life, the most precious times are those that I get to enjoy relaxing with my family. In our family, we make a point to take a two week vacation every summer. Sometimes this means that I have to make business calls here and there, but we always try to make the vacation work.
To this end, I decided to make a place for us to go every summer. I figured if I could keep the initial cost down, it will always be better than renting a place at some tourist trap. Also, I figured if we owned a nice getaway, we might be able to spend winter holidays there as well. With the kids getting older, and the whole family getting larger, our traditional Christmases at the in-laws’ house got to be a bit cramped.
My wife found a piece of land that hadn’t been built on, a couple hours away from the town that most of my family still lives in. It is beautiful, with a wonderful view and a clean river for the kids to play in nearby.
We built our new vacation home with help from my brother and mother, who both still work as contractors in our home town. Our small house with its wonderfully big porch was done quicker than we expected it would be, and my daughters even learned a thing or two. Really, it’s a pretty basic design. The only special thing that I should mention is that we used multizone split air conditioning systems from AC-World to cover the heating and cooling in one fell swoop. It was cheap and simple to do, and it makes vacationing in our new home away from home that much more cost effective. You should definitely consider their products if you are thinking about updating your home’s heating and cooling systems.
